Maker Story

Hi, I'm Sam.

I make pottery in my home studio near Houston, Texas — usually with a project half-finished in the garage and a kiln that runs on its own schedule. Every mug, bowl, and tray in this shop was built by hand — no wheel, no molds — then glazed and fired by me. Just me. That's why you'll rarely see more than one or two of anything.

I'm drawn to pieces you actually use: the mug that becomes your mug, the tray that shows up at every family gathering, the little dish that lives by the sink. And sometimes I make things that are just for fun — holiday dishes, ornaments, and odd little characters for the garden — because pottery shouldn't take itself too seriously.

Every piece has small variations, glaze quirks, and the occasional fingerprint. Those aren't flaws. They're proof a person made it.
